Seoulpin has no accounts, sign-ups or forms. This page explains the little we do record when you read the site, and why.
Who is responsible

What we record and why
Visits, clicks and scrolling (our own counter)
For each page view: the page address and how you arrived (for example a search engine, an AI assistant, social media or another site's name). When you tap a phone number, a map link (Google Maps or Naver Map) or a KKday link, we record which kind of link it was and on which page, and the same when you follow a "Read next" or "More" link to another article. To see which parts of a page are used, we also record where on the page you tap (the position of the tapped element in the page layout and the rough spot within it, never its text), how far down the page you scroll, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. Nothing that identifies you is sent: no cookies, no IP address stored, no device ID. Your browser keeps two small values for the current tab only (that you already started a visit, and how you arrived), which are deleted when you close the tab. The counts are processed by Cloudflare and used to see which pages and links readers find useful. Like Clarity, this counter is not loaded for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
How pages are used (Microsoft Clarity)
Clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement, which parts of a page appear on screen, your browser, device, screen size and approximate location from your IP address. Clarity combines these into heatmaps and a replay of the visit, so we can see where a page is confusing, slow or broken. Anything you type into a form field is masked in your browser before it is sent. Clarity is not loaded for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
Clarity sets first-party cookies on seoulpin.com (_clck, kept up to one year, and _clsk, one day) to link page views into one visit, and Microsoft may set cookies on its own domains (such asMUID and CLID). Recordings are kept for up to 30 days. Microsoft processes this data for us under the Clarity terms and theMicrosoft Privacy Statement.
Emails you send us
If you write to editor@seoulpin.com orlistings@seoulpin.com, we keep your address and message to answer you and, for corrections and removals, to record what we changed and when. We delete them on request unless the law requires us to keep them.
Kept only on your device
- Work Spots you save are stored in your browser and never sent to us.
- If you pick Light or Dark at the bottom of a page, your browser remembers that choice. Auto clears it.
- If you press "Near me" on Work Spots, your browser asks for your location. It is used on the page to sort places by distance and is not sent to us.
Other services on some pages
- Work Spots maps load from Naver Maps, which receives your IP address and browser details. See theNaver privacy policy.
- Affiliate links in some travel articles go to KKday. KKday records that you came from Seoulpin so it can pay us a commission. What happens on KKday is covered by its own privacy policy.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Transfers outside Korea
When you open a page, the data above goes over the network to Cloudflare, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation, both in the United States, for the purposes and periods described here. If you do not want this, block cookies or leave the site; every page works without cookies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
- We do not try to identify individual readers.
- Clinic pages pass nothing about you to any clinic.
Your choices and rights
- You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Clarity respects the Global Privacy Control signal.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it, by writing toeditor@seoulpin.com. We reply within 10 days.
- If you are not satisfied, you can contact Korea's Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, call 118 from Korea).
